To Lighten Our Souls

Someday I’ll meet you there where oceans meet sand. To hold your hand and walk across the shore. And talk about all the things that we kept to ourselves. All the unsettling words that destroyed our peace in this life. Everything that did not let us rest in peace. All the people we thought were our blood relations and will never do us wrong. All our friends we considered family but left us unlike family. To open our hearts and to let the love for them evolve. Let our love for people who didn’t love us back likewise end us. We will try to solve the puzzles of our lives. We’ll ponder upon our wrongs and see where did we go wrong. We’ll be inseparable. We’ll be infinite. Not for long. But for the duration we’ll hold hands and let our hearts fuse together. Let us share our pain to soothe it. Because it will rip me apart from the inside if I don’t let everything out. I don’t want you to suffer just like me.

So hold my hand and I’ll not let it go unless we become hollow and our hearts attain peace. We must have each other when the time comes.

We’ll talk about all the things that made us to swallow back our words and not let them escape our mouths. We’ll talk about the times when we thought we were unwanted. We’ll talk about all the tears that went in vain. We’ll talk about all the feelings that we kept hidden all these years. We’ll talk about all the mouths that let us down. We’ll talk about all the fingers that were against our being. We’ll talk about all the wrong steps we took which accelerated us to a dark pit. We’ll talk about all the dark days we faced. We’ll talk about all the nights we didn’t sleep. We’ll talk about all the mirrors that showed the reflection of our faces dipped in sins.

We’ll talk about all the people who raised eyebrows on our dreams. We’ll talk about all our prayers that went unanswered. We’ll talk about all the questions we asked but were asked to keep our mouths shut. We’ll talk about all the shimmer of this world that caused our eyes to bleed. We’ll talk about all the good we sent to this universe and received bad and hurt in return. We’ll talk about everything that we were afraid to even think about. We’ll talk about our purest feelings without fearing that we will be judged. We’ll talk about what we think of this world and it’s people. We’ll talk about the different types of energies we received in this life. We’ll talk about how people destroyed our peace. We’ll talk about people who destroyed the togetherness in our families. We’ll talk about the hearts we broke and how we felt about it. We’ll talk about reasons of our intentions. We’ll talk about all the embraces we didn’t find rest in. We’ll talk about all the words we didn’t find rest in. We’ll talk about the shallowness of our faith. We’ll talk about our regrets and what made them to become regrets. We’ll talk about all the opportunities we missed. We’ll talk about all the times our hopes got crushed. We’ll talk about all our hard work that often went in vain. We’ll talk about how much it hurt to not get what we wanted. We’ll talk about heartbreak. We’ll talk about the love of our lives. We’ll talk about all the hurt that built up inside us all our lives. We’ll talk about what was our real purpose of being sent from above. We’ll about the words left unspoken. We’ll talk about the abuse our hearts, eyes, ears and hands endured. We’ll talk about all the times we failed to understand what our soul desired. We’ll talk about all the positive energy we wasted on negative people. We’ll talk about all places we went and what we discovered. We’ll talk about how life took sharp turns for us to become stronger and stronger. We’ll talk about all the lessons we learned. We’ll talk about the sources of our learned lessons.

We’ll let everything out to lighten our soul. So take my hand. And let’s walk across the shore for the first and the last time, just like long-lost friends do.
